The CCI on 9th September, 2024 has issued the Competition Commission of India (Combinations) Regulations, 2024. These regulations may be called the Competition Commission of India (Combinations) Regulations, 2024. They shall come into force on 10th day of September, 2024.
Where the commission is of the prima facie opinion that a proposed combination of enterprises has caused or is likely to cause appreciable adverse effect on competition within the relevant market in India, the Secretary shall convey the direction of the Commission to the person who has given notice, to publish the details of the combination within seven days of such direction.
The details of combination shall be published by the parties in Form III and parties shall submit the details of combination to be published to the Commission before its publication and the Commission may host the same on its official website.
The details of the combination to be published shall, also be hosted by the parties on their websites not later than the time specified. The parties shall publish the details of the combination in all India editions of four leading daily newspapers including at least two business newspapers.
