The Dental Council of India (DCI) has issued a directive on uploading of student details for the BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) program for the academic year 2024-25. This notice was dated August 23, 2024.
The directive iterates that as per the schedule issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the last date for students to join their BDS program is October 30, 2024. The academic session for undergraduate courses commences on October 1, 2024.
Therefore, the notices urges that dental colleges must upload details of admitted students to the DCI portal by October 30, 2024 (midnight) using their allotted login credentials.
Strict Uploading Procedures
Uploading details should be done gradually after each round of counseling, not at the last minute. Requests for deadline extensions or excuses, including technical faults, will not be considered.
Colleges must only upload information for students genuinely admitted to their institution.
Uploading incorrect information will result in potential action against the college.
Only uploaded student details will be forwarded to State Dental Councils for registration.
Details will only be accepted on the DCI website and not via email, hard copy, or any other format.
Technical Support and Compliance
- Colleges can contact DCI at secy-dci@nic.in or 011-40194297 for technical support.
- Competent authorities are requested to ensure colleges comply with these stipulations.
The DCI emphasizes timely and accurate data entry to avoid potential litigation and ensure efficient processing of registrations for new BDS students.
