SEBI has issued a Consultation paper on expanding the scope of Sustainable Finance framework in the Indian securities market. The objective of this consultation paper is to seek comments, views and suggestions from the public on the proposals related to expanding the scope of sustainable finance framework in the Indian securities market.
It is proposed for introduction of framework for Social Bonds, Sustainable Bonds and Sustainability linked bonds(which together with Green Debt Securities are termed ESG Debt Securities) to expand the sustainable finance in the Indian Securities Market.
The comments/ suggestions should be submitted online by September 06, 2024.
