The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has notified that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will carry out Aadhaar authentication for the purposes of verifying the identity of persons registering online as local cable operators under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 (7 of 1995), through designated portal on voluntary basis, using Yes / No authentication facility.
This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
