Electrical Safety Handbook For Students

The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) organized a special All-India Electrical Safety Awareness Programme for school students on June 26th, observed as Electrical Safety Day. This initiative, themed “Safety Starts from School,” aimed to empower the next generation with electrical safety knowledge.

Over 150 representatives from various sectors, along with 50 students from Delhi schools, participated in the event. The program highlighted the importance of instilling electrical safety practices from a young age.

Building a Culture of Safety

CEA Chairperson emphasized the program’s significance in raising awareness among the public, especially students. He stressed that a strong foundation in electrical safety empowers young people to make informed decisions and contribute to safer environments.

Experts Share Knowledge

Senior officials from CEA, NPTI, BIS, and NFEES addressed the participants, sharing valuable insights on electrical safety. The program also saw the launch of an “Electrical Safety Handbook for Students.”

Valuable Resource

Prepared by the National Federation of Engineers for Electrical Safety (NFEES), this handbook serves as a resource for students, educators, and parents. It covers essential topics like basic electrical principles, hazard identification, and preventive measures, presented in an accessible and engaging way.

This program signifies a step towards promoting electrical safety awareness across India. By equipping students with the necessary knowledge, the initiative empowers them to create a safer future for themselves and their communities.
