Optimizing Aadhaar Seeding Efficiency for ESIC Members: A Seamless Process

In recent communications from the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Benefit Division emphasizing the necessity of Aadhaar seeding for insured persons (IPs), ESIC employees, and pensioners, steps have been taken to facilitate this crucial process. This notification was published on June 13, 2024.

  1. IP Portal Accessibility: IPs can now conveniently seed their Aadhaar details and those of their family members via the dedicated “Aadhaar Seeding for IPs and Dependents” link on the IP Portal. This process requires authentication through the OTP received from UIDAI.
  2. Empowerment through the Employer Portal: Employers are now authorized to generate new insurance numbers using employees’ Aadhaar credentials, facilitated by OTP or biometric verification. Additionally, employers can seed Aadhaar numbers for existing IPs and their dependents.
  3. Facilitation by ESIC Staff: Designated facilities such as branch offices, DCBOs, dispensaries, and hospitals enable IPs to seed Aadhaar details conveniently for themselves and their families.
  4. Convenience of the “AAA+” Mobile App: The “AAA+” mobile app provides IPs with flexibility in seeding Aadhaar numbers, utilizing OTP or face authentication. This approach aims to reduce dependence on biometric verification. ESIC staff can also utilize the app for seamless Aadhaar seeding.

Regional and sub-regional offices are encouraged to address local challenges, including internet connectivity and equipment conditions, to enhance the efficiency of Aadhaar seeding for ESIC members. Utilizing multiple authentication methods ensures uninterrupted and efficient Aadhaar seeding operations across ESIC facilities.
