The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has modified its list of laboratories accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). This notification was issued on June 6, 2024.
These laboratories are notified for the purposes of carrying out analysis of food samples taken in accordance with the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
FSSAI has modified the list of laboratories in the Western and Southern Region of the country. The following are the changes effected by the present notification:
In the Western Region
For the state of Gujarat, three new laboratories have been introduced:
- Gujarat Testlab Private Limited, Ahmedabad
- NDDB CALF LTD., Anand and
- Eureka Analytical Services Private Limited, Unjha
All these Laboratories have accreditation that covers biological and chemical testing.
Additionally, for the state of Maharashtra, the Bureau Veritas India Pvt. Ltd., Navi Mumbai has been notified, having biological and chemical accreditation.
In the Sothern Region
For the state of Karnataka, Bangalore Analytical Research Centre Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru has been notified. Its scope of accreditation extends to biological testing.
For the state of Andhra Pradesh, National Commodities Management Services Limited-NCML Labs, Visakhapatnam has been deleted.
