The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) has issued a corrigendum to rectify errors in the recently published “National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (Minimum essential standards, assessment and rating for undergraduate Ayurveda colleges and attached teaching hospitals) Regulations, 2024.” This corrigendum was published by a notification dated May 28, 2024.
The corrigendum contemplates the following corrections:
- Typos: Several typos were identified and corrected throughout the document, including misspellings of “Admission,” “preceding month,” and department names.
- Clarification on Data Uploading: The deadline for uploading data pertaining to the previous month has been clarified to be the “tenth of every month.”
- Departmental Hierarchy: The role of the yoga demonstrator within the Swasthavritta department is clarified.
- Standardization of Terminology: The document now uses consistent terminology like “Minimum Essential Standards” and “rupees two lakhs.”
- Equipment Lists: Errors and omissions in the lists of equipment required for various departments have been addressed. New entries include tonsillectomy sets, chalazion excision sets, epilation forceps, and various ENT and eye instruments.
