Ayurveda Research Meets Industry at PRAGATI-2024

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is bringing together researchers and industry leaders for “Pharma Research in AyurGyan And Techno Innovation (PRAGATI-2024)” on May 28, 2024, in New Delhi.

The interactive meeting aims to explore research opportunities and collaborations between CCRAS and the Ayurveda drug industry. It also aims to maximize the potential of Ayurveda stakeholders by connecting researchers with industry partners.

Key Objectives:

  • Leverage CCRAS research outcomes and technologies for product development.
  • Establish robust networks for collaborative research in areas like quality control and standardization.
  • Identify industry partners with strong R&D capabilities.
  • Offer capacity building opportunities for researchers in drug manufacturing.
  • Support Ayurveda professionals in starting businesses and promoting entrepreneurship.

The event will witness the following:

  1. Four specialized sessions:
    • Highlighting CCRAS’s research and industry collaboration strategies.
    • Panel discussion on challenges in Ayurveda drug development.
    • Sharing experiences and setting priorities for future collaborations.
    • Focused group discussions on research priorities.
  2. Participation from leading pharmaceutical companies like Himalaya, Emami, and Baidyanath.
  3. Presentation of a dossier detailing 35 CCRAS formulations and instruments for industry review.

The meeting seeks to identify potential partners for collaboration. It also facilitates knowledge exchange and utilization of research findings, thereby enhancing networking and institutional linkages. Ultimately, it will also benefit Ayurvedic practitioners and patients.
