The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has extended warm wishes to all Nurse Midwives in India on the occasion of International Day of the Midwives 2024. A invitation for the celebration of this event was published on May 2, 2024.
International Day of the Midwives falls on May 5th every year. This year’s theme, “Midwives: A Vital Climate Solution“. The theme highlights the crucial role midwives play in promoting sustainable birthing practices.
Established in 1992 by the International Confederation of Midwives, International Day of the Midwife is a day to celebrate and raise awareness about the vital midwifery profession.
To commemorate this event, the INC invites all Nursing and Midwifery faculty and students to join a virtual celebration on May 6, 2024, at 5:00 PM IST. The celebration will be streamed live on Youtube.
