Given the decision to conduct a general election to form a new House of the People after the term of the Seventeenth House of the People expires, the President, in accordance with the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), is pleased to summon the Parliamentary Constituencies listed in column (2) of the Table below, situated within the corresponding States or Union Territories, as applicable, of Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Jammu & Kashmir as specified in column (1) of the said Table, to elect the Members as per the provisions of the aforementioned Act and the regulations and directives established thereunder.
