The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revised certain standards for Microbiology Tests of the Food Stuff. These notifications were published on March 21, 2024.
Some of the revised standards for Microbiology Tests are as follows:
- Microbiology of the Food Chain
- Methods for Detection of Bacteria Responsible for Food Poisoning
- Microbiology of Food and Animal Feeding Stuffs and
- Microbiology of Food, Animal Feed and Water
These standards have been established on March 15, 2024. The previous versions of these standards shall stand withdrawn on April 14, 2024.
