Enhancing Healthcare Services in Kerala

The Chief Minister of Kerala will kickstart construction projects worth 606.46 crores and operational projects totaling 11.4 crores at Thrissur Medical College on March 12. The Health Minister will also be present at the event. These projects are expected to bring significant changes to Thrissur Medical College. Notable projects include a Mother and Child Hospital block costing 279.19 Crore, a Super Specialty Block costing 285.54 Crore, and the second phase of the Government Dental College building, among others. These initiatives aim to enhance medical services in the region. This Notification was published on 11.03.2024.

The Mother and Child Hospital block, funded by the KIFBI project, will provide specialized services in areas like Gynaecology and Pediatrics. The Super Specialty Block will cater exclusively to advanced medical treatments. Additionally, there will be projects like the development of the dental college building and an isolation block for infectious diseases. Other operational projects include the enhancement of infrastructure and medical equipment. Overall, these initiatives are geared towards improving healthcare facilities and services at Thrissur Medical College.
