The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced certain standards for Agricultural and Other Equipment and Hygiene Products. These notifications were published on March 8, 2024.
Some of the revised standards for agricultural and other equipment are as follows:
- Pearl Barley — Specification (First Revision)
- Rice Polisher — Specification (Third Revision)
- Paddy Separator — Specification and Test Code (Second Revision)
- Paddy Dehusker: Rubber Roller Type — Specification (First Revision) and Centrifugal Type — Specification (First Revision)
- Paddy Cleaners — Specification (First Revision)
- Agricultural Produce Milling Machinery — Mini Rice Mill — Specification (First Revision)
- Portable and Fixed Type Revolving Branch for Fire Fighting — Specification (Fourth Revision)
- Portable Pneumatic Grinding Machine — Specification (Second Revision)
These standards have been established on February, 2024. The previous versions of these standards shall stand withdrawn on May, 2024.
The following are the revised standards for hygiene products:
- Sanitary Napkins — Specification (Second Revision)
- Medical Textiles — Dental Bib/Napkins —Specification
- Disposable Adult Incontinence Diaper — Specification
- Disposable Baby Diaper — Specification
- Reusable Sanitary Pad/Sanitary Napkin/Period Panties — Specification
The above standards were established on February 10, 2024. The previous versions of these standards shall stand withdrawn on May/ August 9, 2024.
