The activities of the RUSA project were completed in conjunction with 28 colleges in Kerala. The completed projects were handed over to the Minister of Higher Education and Social Justice. The minister emphasized the need to encourage children to participate in research-oriented activities from the beginning. Research activities should be conducted in a manner that addresses the critical issues of society and provides solutions to them. This Notification was published on 22.02.2024.
There should be a stronger connection between employment and education. To bridge the gap between employment and education, numerous projects and activities aimed at enhancing skills have been initiated. Efforts are also being made to increase students’ inclination towards employment-oriented initiatives and to enhance their entrepreneurial spirit. Through the ROOS project, basic infrastructure development activities worth more than 35 crores were completed for the students. This includes 15 academic blocks (61 class rooms), front auditoriums/seminar halls, two administrative blocks, a cafeteria, an examination center, six computer labs/digital libraries, and four hostels/quadrants for residents. Additionally, the renovation activities of class rooms, libraries, administrative blocks, and parking areas have been completed.
