Uttar Pradesh Government issued Notification dated 15th February, 2024, regarding calculation of modified dearness allowances for all categories of workers employed in engineering factories. The notification issued pertains for calculation of variable dearness allowances for all categories of workers employed in engineering factories employing 50 or more than 50 employees.
According to the provisions, there is a provision of 100 per cent reduction in inflation above 239 points of All India Consumer Price Index (2001-100). There is a provision to adjust the dearness allowance on the average of All India Consumer Price Index from February 01 to July to December of the previous year and on the average of All India Consumer Price Index from January to June of the previous year from August 1.
