Kerala is poised to achieve a significant milestone this year as it becomes the pioneering state to establish laboratory facilities across all its health centers, announced Health Minister. The minister made this announcement while presiding over the inauguration of 42 urban public health centers and 37 isolation wards, held at Tagore Theater Hall in Thiruvananthapuram. Addressing the gathering, she emphasized the growing concern of lifestyle diseases in Kerala and underscored the state’s concerted efforts in combating cancer, which is treatable if detected early. Notably, a remarkable 1.54 crore individuals underwent screening facilitated by dedicated Asha workers, whose invaluable contribution was lauded by the minister.
