The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued Guidelines on Temporary Registration of Medical Practitioners. These guidelines were issued by way of a public notice dated January 18, 2024.
It may be recalled that the NMC had issued the Registration of Medical Practitioners and Licence to Practice Medicine Regulations, 2023 on May 12, 2023. Chapter IV of these regulations cover various aspects of temporary registration to the foreign medical practitioner.
In this respect, NMC has decided to issue supplementary guidelines on temporary registrations of medical practitioners. These guidelines are intended to facilitate ease of comprehension of all aspects of temporary registration.
