BIS Revises Standards for Metals, Textiles, Shoes, Boiler Water Treatment

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced certain standards for BIS Revises Standards for Metals, Textiles, Shoes Boiler Water Treatment. These notifications were published on January 16, 2024.

Some of the revised standards are as follows:

  • Refined Zinc — Specification (Fifth Revision)
  • Russet-Leather — Specification (First Revision)
  • Handloom Silk Dhoti and Printed Sari, Bounded Mineral Wool, Rayon Satin Lining Cloth for Beret, Woven Upholstery Fabrics — Plain, Tufted or Flocked
  • Copper Base Alloys for Marine Propellers — Specification (First Revision)
  • Electroplated Coatings of Copper — Specification (Second Revision)
  • Textiles — Bobbin Rail for Jute Spinning Frames — Specification (First Revision)
  • Textiles — Harness (Dobby and Jacquard) — Specification (Second Revision)
  • Textile Auxiliaries
  • Bicycles
  • Rules for Rounding off Numerical Values

These standards have been established on January 13, 2024. The previous versions of these standards shall stand withdrawn on April 13, 2024 or July 13, 2024 as the case may be.
