The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced certain standards for Millet Processing Equipment, Lithium Batteries and Galvanometers. These notifications were published on December 27, 2023.
Some of the revised standards are as follows:
- d.c. Moving Coil Galvanometers — Specification (First Revision)
- Vibration Galvanometers — Specification (First Revision)
- Insulators for Overhead Lines with a Nominal Voltage Above 1 000 V
- Primary Batteries Part 4 Safety of Lithium Batteries (Third Revision)
These standards have been established on December 22, 2023 and their previous versions will be withdrawn on March 22, 2024.
It has also introduced the following standards:
- Cleaner Cum Grader for Millets with Pre-cleaner — Specification and Test Code
- Millet Dehusker — Centrifugal Type —Specification and Test Code
- Destoner for Millets — Specification and Test Code
- Symbols and Flow Diagram for Primary Processing of Millets
All of the above standards stand established on December 22, 2023.
