Tamil Nadu Government is taking measures to benefit the unorganized workers. As a result in Tamil Nadu food delivery, grocery deliveries by e-commerce companies, rental car services and other services provided through the web app are currently being done through e-Gig mode. This Notification was published on the date of 27.12.2023.
In order to protect the welfare of unorganized Gig (Gig) workers, a separate committee will be set up for them by Government of Tamil Nadu. Registration of Tamil Nadu Internet based Gig (Gig), named Tamil Nadu Platform based gig. Workers Welfare Board has been created and an order has been issued.
