Maharashtra Governor inaugurated the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund Collection Drive by making a donation to the Flag Fund at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Wed (7 Dec). The Flag Day was organized jointly by Mumbai City and Suburban districts on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, which is celebrated every year on 7 December. This notification was published on the date of 07.12.2023.
Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated to honor fallen heroes and personnel in uniform, serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by individuals who valiantly defend the nation’s borders. Representatives of various organizations contributing to the Flag Fund were present on the occasion. The Governor felicitated representatives of various donor organizations on this occasion. Representatives of some organizations handed over their donation cheque’s to the Governor.
