The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revised certain standards relating to automotive vehicles. This notification was published on 6th November, 2023.
The notification states that the following two Indian Standards are revised:
- IS 3028 (Part 1) : 2018 Automotive Vehicles — Noise Emitted by Moving Vehicles — Specification and Method of Measurement Part 1 L2 Category
The prior standard without the amendment shall remain in force until 24th January, 2024
- IS 15633 : 2022 Automotive Vehicles — Pneumatic Tyres for Passenger Car Vehicles — Diagonal and Radial Ply — Specification (First Revision)
The prior standard without the amendment shall remain in force until 24th April, 2024
Both these standards have been established on 25th October, 2023.
