ESI extends the benefits of employees state insurance to areas of T.N & U.P

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has made certain provisions of Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 applicable to following areas:

1. All the areas of Lalitpur, Kushinagar, Kaushambi, Budaun, Sultanpur, Deoria, Ballia, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Baghpat, Chitrakoot, Sambhal and Ayodhya districts in the State of Uttar Pradesh.
2. All the areas of Nilgiris district in the State of Tamil Nadu.

The following provisions are made applicable:

1. Sections 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43 and sections 45A to 45H Chapter IV : The chapter deals with the contribution made to the employee.
2. Sections 46 to 73 of Chapter V: The chapter deals with Benefits provides to the employees covered under the Act.
3. Chapter VI which deals with Adjudication of Dispute and Claims.

The act shall be applicable with effect from 1st day of November, 2023.
