The Ministry of Commerce and Industry vide notification dated 25th September, 2023 has issued the Precision Roller and Bush Chains, attachments and associated chain sprockets (Quality Control) Order, 2023. All Precision Roller and Bush Chains, attachments and associated chain sprockets shall bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards.
The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority in respect of the Precision Roller and Bush Chains, attachments and associated chain sprockets. Any person, who contravenes the provisions of this Order, shall be punishable in accordance with the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
This order shall come into force within 6 months of publication.
