APERC Commission Proposes New Regulation for Intra-State Transmission Projects

The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) has issued a public notice to inform all stakeholders and interested parties about the proposed creation of a new regulation governing the threshold limit for the development of Intra-State Transmission projects under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) in accordance with the Electricity Act, 2003.

In alignment with its commitment to transparency and stakeholder engagement, APERC has prepared a draft Regulation for this purpose. The draft Regulation is now available for review and feedback on the Commission’s official website at https://www.aperc.gov.in.

As part of the regulatory process and in compliance with the Electricity Act, 2003, and the Electricity (Procedure for Previous Publication) Rules, 2005, APERC hereby invites comments, suggestions, and objections from all concerned parties and stakeholders. This notice is issued under sub-section (3) of Section 181 of the Electricity Act, 2003.

The Commission emphasizes that the draft Regulation will be open for public scrutiny and input for a period of 21 days from the date of this notice. All comments, suggestions, and objections regarding the proposed regulation must be submitted by email to commn-secy@aperc.in or by post to the Commission’s office in Hyderabad. The submissions should be addressed to the undersigned and must be received on or before 29th September 2023.

Stakeholders are advised to note that any comments, suggestions, or objections received after the specified deadline of 29th September 2023 may not be taken into account by the Commission during the finalization of the Regulation.
