The Department of Food Safety of the Govt of NCT of Delhi has issued a notification banning any dealings in Tobacco products till 21st August, 2024.
The notification imposes a ban on manufacture, storage, distribution, and sale tobacco products, including gutka, paan masala, flavoured or scented tobacco, kharra and similar products.
This prohibition also extends to any tobacco that is mixed with additives by whatsoever name called. It extends to products that are packaged or unpackaged and/ or sold as one product or packaged as separate products.
