The Himachal Pradesh government has issued draft Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Tenth (Amendment) Rules, 2023. With respect to digital communications infrastructure within buildings, in-building solutions must adhere to the provisions outlined in the addendum to the Model Building Bye-Laws, 2016, along with subsequent amendments.
These regulations apply to various types of buildings, including commercial, residential (including residential cooperative societies), official, multi-storey commercial, government/private hospitals, commercial complexes/hotels (including home stays/bed and breakfast establishments), airports, police buildings, etc.
These provisions are applicable to Planning/Special Areas established under the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Act, 1977, as well as real estate projects requiring registration with the Himachal Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
If any person, likely to be affected by these draft rules has any objection(s) or suggestion(s) against these draft rules, he/she may send the written objection(s) or suggestion(s) to the Principal Secretary (TCP) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla within 19 July, 2023.
