Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on 1ST June, 2023 issued a master circular for Electronic Gold Receipts (EGC). SEBI has been issuing various Circulars from time to time for specifying the framework of EGRs. The provisions of the said circulars are incorporated in this Master Circular for EGRs at Annexure A. This circular has covered various circulars issued on EGR till March 31, 2023. This Master Circular shall come into force from the date of its issue. The circulars mentioned in Annexure – C of this Master Circular shall stand rescinded with the issuance of the Master Circular.
