The Directorate of Commercial Taxes, West Bengal has once again extended the last date of filling of return in Form-III, under the West Bengal State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1979. This extension was issued by an order dated 30th May, 2023.
This extension is applicable to the return in Form-III for the year ending on the 31st March, 2023.
As per the present order, the E-filing of professional tax return has been extended till 15th June, 2023. It may be recalled that as per the order dated 29th April, 2023, the last date for E-filing of professional tax return was fixed at 31st May, 2023. Thus the present order has extended the deadline for e-filing of the return.
The paper form of the return can be furnished till 22nd June 2022. Previously, by order dated 29th April, 2023, the last date of furnishing paper form of the return was 7th June, 2023. This date has now been extended up to 22nd June, 2023.
