The Govt. of Andhra has issued a notification amending the Andhra Pradesh Forest Produce Transit Rules, 1970. The notification was issued by the Environment, Forests, Science & Technology Department on 17th May, 2023.
The amendment stipulates that a transit pass or no objection certificate generated through National Transit Pass System (NTPS) will be valid within the state of Andhra Pradesh. The NTPS portal is a portal governed by the Government of India. Hence transit passes or NOCs from NTPS will now be valid in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
