Re-allocation of Medical Colleges to Nodal/ Regional Centres

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a circular on re-allocation of medical colleges to nodal/ regional centres for Basic Course in Medical Education (BCME) and Curriculum Implementation Support Programme (CISP) and re-allocation of regional centres to nodal centres for Advance Course in Medical Education (ACME). This notification was published on 6th April, 2023 and has come into force from that date.

The circular states that since the last allocation a number of new medical colleges have been opened. Additionally, two regional centres have been upgraded to nodal centres. Moreover, three medical colleges have been accorded the status of regional centres for the purpose of Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs). Hence, it has become necessary to undertake this re-allocation.

Therefore, the circular provides the scheme of re-allocation of medical colleges, standalone PG institutes and regional centres.
