The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has issued a public notice of fake calls being made in the name of its Chairman.
It has come to the notice of AICTE that some fraudsters are making fake calls to various Universities / Institutions / Colleges using name of Chairman, AICTE. These fraudsters are asking them to provide contact number and confidential information about their institution.
In this regard, AICTE has expressly stated that neither its Chairman nor any of its Officer are contacting any University / Institution or College for making any such demands.
All the Universities / Institutions / Colleges are therefore informed not to entertain any such call and immediately inform Assistant Director, AICTE and also to respective Police Station with a copy to AICTE, Nelson Mandela Marg, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi110070 .
