The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a press release on its Meeting with Access Providers on Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC) Detect System. The press release was issued on 22nd March, 2023.
To curb the menace of UCC, TRAI issued the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018 on 19th July 2018.
Additionally, an ecosystem based on block chain Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) was created with support from all Telecom Service Providers (TSPs). It is sought that all access providers are brought together on it with respect to UCC detect solutions.
