The Labor, Skill Development and Employment Department of Gujarat vide notification dated February 20, 2023 has issued the Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Condition of Service) (Gujarat) (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
The amendment provides that the Registering Authority shall grant the registration within 45 days after receiving the application if satisfied about the eligibility of the applicant. In case of failure to issue registration within stipulated time, application shall be deemed approved.
The Licensing Authority shall grant the license within 45 days after receiving the application if satisfied about the eligibility of the applicant In case of failure to issue license within stipulated time shall be deemed approval.
