NPPA further extends last date for filing statutory forms under DPCO, 2013

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has issued an Office Memorandum (OM) further extending the last date for filing statutory forms prescribed under Drug Price Control Order, 2013 (DPCO, 2013). This OM was issued on 16th February, 2023.

It may be recalled that NPPA had previously already issued an extension for the filing of these statutory forms under DPCO, 2013 on 30th December, 2022. Through the present OM, the NPPA further extends the last date for filing these statutory forms. The revised timelines are as follows:

1. Form III: Quarterly production/ sales data for scheduled drugs
  • General time limit for filing: Within fifteen days from the end of quarter
  • Revised time limit: For the quarter ending September 2022 and December 2022, Form III can be filed up to 31st March 2023.
Form V: Intimation about MRP change of scheduled and non-scheduled drugs and Form VI: Intimation about MRP change of medical devices
  • General time limit for filing: Within a period of fifteen days of price revision
  • Revised time limit: For any MRP revision done between 1st August 2022 and 15th March, 2023, Form V can be filed up to 31st March 2023.

Additionally, it may be noted that the facility of filing forms in IPDMS 2.0 is fully functional, however, on the request of some of the pharmaceutical associations, the above-stated extension have been provided to give buffer time for complete migration to IPDMS 2.0.

The manufacturers are requested to ensure timely filing of the prescribed forms as no further extension in time beyond 31st March, 2023 will be granted.
