The Government of West Bengal has issued a notification regarding the service of Certificate of Enlistment (trade license) through the e-District portal instead of the Silpasathi portal. This notification was issued on 1st February, 2023 and is effective from 2nd February, 2023.
It was observed that common citizens faced issues in obtaining a Certificate of Enlistment (Trade License) from the Silpasathi portal. Hence in order to eliminate hardships and to make it easier for citizens to procure the licences, it was decided that the service will be obtained exclusively from the e-District portal.
This change will be in effect from 2nd February, 2023. The e-District portal will be utilised for this purpose instead of the Silpasathi portal until further orders and till the problems faced by the citizens in obtaining a Certificate of Enlistment (Trade License) through the Silpasathi portal are resolved.
