The Ministry of Tourism vide notification dated 11th November, 2022 has clarified that National Integrated Database of Hospitality Industry (NIDHI) portal shall perform Aadhaar authentication on voluntary basis for the following purpose:
i. Authentication of applicants.
ii. Prevention of impersonation/proxy applicants.
The Ministry of Tourism shall adhere to the Guidelines with respect to the use of Aadhar Authentication as laid down by the Central Government.
