ESIC extends the scope of ESI benefits to employees across Tamil Nadu and Odisha

The Ministry of Labour and Employment vide notification dated 16 November, 2022, has made certain provisions of Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 applicable to following areas:

1. Nuapada, Malkangiri, Deogarh and Gajapati district in state of Odisha and Dindigul district in state of Tamil Nadu.

The following provisions are made applicable:

1. Sections 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43 and sections 45A to 45H Chapter IV : The chapter deals with the contribution made to the employee.
2. Sections 46 to 73 of Chapter V: The chapter deals with Benefits provides to the employees covered under the Act.
3. Chapter VI which deals with Adjudication of Dispute and Claims.
