Government of Andhra Pradesh removes the restriction on the employment of women in factories during the night shifts

The Office of the Director of Factories, Government of Andhra Pradesh vide notification dated October 25, 2022, has removed the restriction on the employment of women in factories during the night shifts subject to following conditions:

1. Consent of night shift workers must be taken in writing
2. It should not go against the provisions of the Maternity Benefit Act
3. Transportation facility must be provided
4. Toilet, washroom and drinking facilities must be provided and must be accessible near the workplace.
