The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide circular dated 28 October, 2022 has issued clarification regarding copper limit for Hop pellets imported to India for manufacture of beer. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has clarified that the Hop pellets imported from European Union shall comply with the copper limits prescribed by the Europe Food Safety Authority.
Copper limits prescribed by the Europe Food Safety Authority for Hop pellet imported to India for manufacture of beer is 1000 ppm.
