The Government of Tamil Nadu vide gazette notification dated October 7, 2022 has published a draft amendment to Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. The draft amendment will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry
of seven days from the date of publication of this Notification. Objection or suggestion, if any, should be addressed in duplicate to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Home Department, Chennai-9.
The amendment provides revised fees for following purposes:
- For advance registration number for any class of Vehicle allotted by the Government.
- For allotment of advance registration number for two wheelers and three wheelers by the Registering Authority.
- For allotment of advance registration number for all imported cars and other vehicles by the Registering Authority.
