The Government of Goa vide gazette notification dated Goa Registration of Tourist Trade (Amendment) Rules, 2022. The amendment provides that every person running the business of hotelkeeper shall submit Statistics on a monthly basis before 5th of the month succeeding the month to which it pertains containing the details of the tourists residing in his hotel/Other Accommodation unit. Such Statistics shall be submitted in the Electronic mode only as per software developed by Goa Electronics Limited in Form XI.
Those hotels/Other Accommodation units who do not submit Statistics shall be liable to a fine of Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) at the first instance and a fine of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) for every subsequent default.
No certificate of Registration shall be renewal unless such Statistics is submitted and fine for defaulting period is paid.
