The Government of Goa vide its notification dated 26th July 2022, has made it obligatory on the part of the employers of any business, trade, industrial undertaking or any other establishments to grant paid holiday on 10th August 2022 to their workmen who are entitled to cast vote in the election under the Representation of Peoples Act, 1951.
The workers in the following establishment shall be granted paid holiday on 10th August 2022:
- Industrial workers of the State of Goa.
- Daily wage workers of the Government Departments and state government industrial departments.
- Commercial and Industrial Workers of private establishments in the state of Goa.
- workers of all private establishments.
- daily wage/casual workers employed in any business, trade, industrial undertakings, or any other establishment.
