The Ministry of Power vide notification dated 10th June, 2022 has issued the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Refrigerators) Regulations, 2022. On every refrigerator, the following particulars shall be displayed on its label, namely:-
(a) the logo of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency;
(b) name of manufacturer or importer and brand;
(c) appliance type;
(d) total Volume;
(e) model number and year of manufacturing or import;
(f) unique series code;
(g) electricity consumption in units per year;
(h) star level; and
(i) label period.
