The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) under the Ministry of Education on 29th May 2022, has launched an online portal to streamline the entire process of recognition of teacher education programs of higher education institutions (HEIs) and teacher education institutions (TEIs)
The portal will streamline the process right from the time of inviting applications for courses till the stage of issue of recognition orders including the inspection of institutions. The portal aims to provide an automated robust framework thereby enhancing accountability, transparency and ease of doing business.
Further under this newly-launched portal, the applications for the recently launched 4 Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP), which is holistic bachelor’s degree offered for BA, BEd or BSc, BEd, and BCom courses will be processed by NCTE through its ‘Admin Login’ section.
