Pharmacy Council of India to start inspection process in pharmacy colleges.

The Pharmacy Council of India on 24th May 2022, has decided to continue their inspection process for consideration of approval under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 and all Institutions are requested to keep the documentary evidence/records ready for cross verification by inspectors during inspection.

As per section 12, of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, The Pharmacy Council of India grants approval to pharmacy course and examination for the purpose of registration as a pharmacist to practice the profession under the Pharmacy Act.

Therefore in order to carry out the inspection, all institution are advised to corporate with the inspection team and ensure that the documentary evidence of having conducted the classes like practical notebooks of students, attendance register of faculty and students are kept ready.

The principal/HOD along with faculty and students shall be present at the time of inspection and the original bills of equipment’s, chemicals and glassware,  etc. shall be made available.

Further the records of sessional exam’s like sessional papers, answer sheet of students, record of sessional marks etc. shall be show to the inspectors.
