Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Amendment Regulations, 2022

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide notification dated17th May, 2022 has issued the Food Safety and Standards (Alcoholic Beverages) Amendment Regulations, 2022. The amendment provides following directions about Labelling of alcoholic beverages

1. Alcoholic beverage shall not contain any nutritional information on the label except energy content in K.Cal.
2. Declaration related to energy content shall be voluntary.
