The department of Health Research vide notification dated 12th May, 2022 has issued the Surrogacy (Regulation) Removal of Difficulties Order, 2022. The order provides that the National Assisted Reproductive Technology
and Surrogacy Board shall constitute three women Members of Parliament, of whom two shall be elected by the House of the People and one by the Council of States, Members.
Previously the Board constituted three women Members of Parliament, of whom two shall be elected by the House of the People and one by the Council of States, Members, ex officio.
