The Central Government vide notification dated 5th April, 2022 has issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (First Amendment) Order, 2022. The amendment provides that in case of import of following plants, Phytosanitary Certificate shall declare that the tissue culture plants were obtained from mother stock tested
and maintained free from any virus:
(ii) Hybrids of
i. Paulownia fortunei & Paulownia tomentosa.
ii. Paulownia elongata & Paulownia fortunei
iii. Paulownia catalpifolia & Paulownia fortunei
